Nedlloyd
P&O Nedlloyd is a leading door to door container shipping
company connecting with more than 250 ports within its
global network.
After the merger between P&O Containers and Nedlloyd,
the new company – P&O Nedlloyd – reviewed
its management training requirements and provisions.
Following an internal consultation period LDL was asked to
provide a first-line management programme which embraced the
best qualities of both companies. To do this the programme
needed to combine the practical management skills of the existing
training of P&O Containers and to foster the Nedlloyd
Management style of personal empowerment.
LDL designed and delivered the programme which involved staff
from P&O Nedlloyd offices throughout mainland Europe.
LDL is also working closely with the client to evaluate the
training to ensure it contributes to the effectiveness of
the business, and to the successful integration of staff from
various cultures.
