Air Products PLC is the UK subsidiary of Air Products
and Chemicals, Inc., the world's largest supplier of
specialty gases, serving customers from over 200 stocking
locations worldwide.
LDL has worked with Air Products for many years and due to
the success of this involvement was asked to propose a training
solution for the Merchant Gases sales team.
In a fiercely competitive market, Air Products required a
training partner to develop a programme which would integrate
product knowledge and selling skills. The imminent launch
of a new product range and the need to revisit knowledge on
existing products meant preparation and tailoring were key
factors.
To this end LDL worked closely with internal product specialists
to develop a highly tailored three day sales and negotiating
skills programme. Particular emphasis was placed on utilising
relevant case studies.
Over a three month period, more than 70 delegates attended
the programme. The training initiative received excellent
feedback and was considered by Air Products to be a key factor
in the successful launch of the Maxx™ gases range of
welding and cutting gases.
