Julian Feinstein

After completing his academic studies, Julian Feinstein Bsc Dip Psych PhD worked for a number of international organisations as well as local government before joining LDL more than two decades ago. His objective was to expand LDL’s in-company and consultancy business and, in so doing, he pioneered sales development for the professions and built much of LDL’s City client base.
Julian specialised in sales, negotiating skills and leadership at all levels. He held many successful conference speaking engagements and had the distinction of regularly training and coaching the key players in a number of the world’s most successful investment banks.
In his spare time, Julian took a great interest in wines and loved his sport. One of the founding members of the UK Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, he was a season ticket holder at Harlequins and followed the fortunes of QPR for more than 30 years.
Fee Negotiation
One of Julian’s greatest contributions to LDL is his development of our Fee Negotiation workshop for lawyers and accountants. Designed to help clients handle the challenge to fees, the programme is based on Julian’s recognition of the fact that the six stage structure commonly advocated on negotiating courses is of little value in the case of a challenge to fees.
Based on Julian’s 20 years of experience obtained from working with a host of International and UK professional clients – including all the big four accountancy firms – as trainer, coach and consultant, the programme is built on a solid four-stage methodology with added material on dealing with overruns.
Tuesday 5 January 2016
On Tuesday 5 January 2016, Julian very sadly passed away. He continues to be sorely missed by all of us here at LDL. We remember him very fondly, as well as all the fantastic work he did with us over so many years.
