Here are 9 ideas to help you build your ILS Quotient:

 

Set up a daily alarm on your phone with the label ‘Have you praised 3 people today?’

 

When people interact with you, do they come away feeling as if they’re getting better at what they do?

 

Help people to believe in themselves – use phrases like ‘The one thing I like about you is…’

 

Understand that respect is not something you earn, it’s something you give.

 

Recognise the leader’s job is to make heroes, not be one.

 

Know that when you see potential in others, they begin to look for it in themselves.

 

To motivate, find out what the other person wants, then help them to get it.

 

Build your resilience – have the attitude – a setback is a set up for a comeback.

 

Be an enthusiast – nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.
