The Laws of Success – Part II

Posted on March 3rd, 2014

Here is Part II of the Laws of Success. Straightforward but unbreakable principles, which have helped thousands of people in every walk of life, to achieve their potential.

The Fifth Law

WHAT YOU HAND OUT YOU GET BACK. This is the law of cause and effect. Everything that happens, every effect which you see or hear about, has a cause somewhere along the line. This is the unfailing boomerang of life. No matter what you hand out, good or bad – sooner or later it comes back – good or bad.

There is another law associated with this – whatever you hand out, when you get it back, it comes back magnified. So be careful what you hand out. If you want a positive, exciting, fulfilled life, you must FIRST hand out positivity, excitement and fulfilment. If you want people to like you, like them first. If you want people to respect you, respect them first.

As Zig Ziglar said – ‘The best way to get what you want is to help a lot of other people get what they want’. If you help the people you work with to become more successful, to grow and prosper, your business will thrive. That’s why inspirational leaders have the attitude ‘Everyone grows here’.

The Sixth Law

MONEY COMES TO YOU AS A BY-PRODUCT OF SUCCESS, success is the cause and money is the effect, not the other way round. The mistake most people make is continuously chasing after money. The more they do this — the faster the money runs away. The day you stop running after money and you turn around and start running after success, that’s the day the money starts running towards you.

To increase your income it is vitally important to understand when money is paid and what for. The only circumstance in which money changes hands is when one person renders service to another. The key here is the word ‘service’. To earn one unit of money, you must first render one unit of service. This means to earn a hundred units, you must first put out a hundred units of service and to earn a million units, you must first render a million units of service.

When you drive your car you are being served by a huge industry. An industry which with the help of thousands of people, designed and manufactured that car. The lives of thousands of people were serving you.

The Seventh Law

ASK AND YOU WILL RECEIVE. Note that this law does not tell you how many times you have to ask. This is powerful. When you’ve made up your mind what it is you want from life KEEP ON ASKING LIFE FOR IT. Don’t take “no” for an answer and you’ll find life will willingly pay what it is you want; and remember that no more effort is required to aim high in life, to demand fulfilment and prosperity, than is required to accept misery and poverty.

When you are born, you are given great wealth. You are given a lifetime consisting of minutes, hours, days, strung together into months and years. Now as with wealth of any description, it is up to you what you do with it. You can fritter it away until it’s all gone. Or, you can invest and build on it…and in building something worthwhile, remember that there is no limit to the size of what you can achieve. Whatever you demand of life, life will willingly pay.

The Eighth Law

DON’T EVER QUIT. On the road to success you will make many mistakes. There is nothing wrong with making mistakes, you learn from them. If you ever meet someone who says they’ve never made a mistake, one thing is certain, they’ve never actually done anything. But there is one mistake which if you make will hold you back. One mistake you must never ever make – QUIT. The only thing that failure cannot live with is persistence.

The most powerful word that each of us can use to help us achieve our goal is a five letter word… UNTIL. If somebody asks you “How long are you going to keep on doing that? — How long are you going to keep on planning? — How long are you going to keep on working towards your goal? Simply reply “UNTIL. UNTIL I have achieved the things in life that I want to achieve.” With an attitude such as this, your goals are 99.9% within your grasp.
